John Frankenheimer died today. He was on some kind of moxie-powered comeback tear the last few years: "Ronin", the silly but stylish "Reindeer Games", the "Ambush" short with Clive Owen for BMW, and "Path to War", his Lyndon Johnson movie for HBO, which is still on my Tivo, not yet watched. I learned today that Frankenheimer and I shared a birthday. 03:33PM «
