Steve Earle has a new album coming out in a few weeks. One of the songs is called, "Condi, Condi", and future generations will wonder what the National Security Advisor did to be immortalized in more or less the same vein as "Roxanne". I feel slightly guilty about finding it so funny. For the next twelve days, you can locate a copy (in Real Audio or Windows Media) via the KEXP streaming archive, starting on Fri, Aug 12 at 12:09 pm.

Dr. Rice will be coming to town early next month for some Inside The Actors Studio-style Q&A, and Jenny bought me a ticket. Unfortunately, questions will be accepted only in writing. So far the best ones I've thought of are "When did you first realize you would not be part of a second Bush administration?" and "Would you sign my Steve Earle album?". 10:55PM «
