At long last, John Kerry makes his Jon Stewart debut. Can't wait for the 10AM rebroadcast tomorrow morning.

... well. Arsenio's legacy is intact. Several days later, that jumpy, grinning staredown on the arm of the couch is still making me cringe. I'm going to feel a lot better when this election is over and Kerry goes back to being statesmanlike, leaving the Daily Show appearances to Edwards.

I'm still feeling more confident about this election than anyone I know except for Ruy Texiera, whose commentary on the perceived poll movement after three weeks of free Swift Boat Veterans For Bush media attention is unusually sharp.

Now we get the RNC. I tuned in for a few minutes this morning and caught the Wyoming delegation calling Dick Cheney its "favorite son" and "first and foremost, a good and decent man." Regardless of one's politics, that's just a hilariously dissonant thing to say, but for the week it probably won't make the top twenty. 11:18PM «
