I like lists. Here's one I recently discovered in a coat pocket, written on the back of an envelope. It's at least two years old, though the postmark on the envelope is July 27, 2000. It was composed in my own handwriting:

• gates/shoes
• champagne
• pickpockets
• wrong seat
• instant beverages
• bagel oven
• early vs. late
