DeLong ties together his various grievances with WaPo's John Harris
"A Platonic Dialogue on Journalistic Fairness, the Internet, Judy Miller Sourcing Ethics, Cross-Potomac White-Collar Outsourcing, and Other Topics." I expect a musical version shortly. http://delong.typepad.com/sdj/2005/12/a_platonic_dial.htmlPosted by irons at 06:52 PM

Teresa Nielsen-Hayden explains why anagrams make poor cryptographic vehicles
They're arguably tiny little one-time pads. (Her version is funnier.) http://nielsenhayden.com/makinglight/archives/007095.htmlPosted by irons at 11:27 AM
A funny story about journalism
Betsy Devine spent a couple weeks hanging out at her local courthouse, which happened to be trying James Tobin on charges of phone-jamming his political opponents in the get-out-the-vote effort on Election Day 2002. It was an entertaining and informative view of the process, citizen journalism at a high level. With the case over, she herein conveys an anecdote explaining why the AP coverage after the fact was so worthless. http://betsydevine.weblogger.com/2005/12/18#a2551Posted by irons at 11:20 AM

Brad DeLong is making one of WaPo's White House correspondents look very bad

There's a gentleman on the board of Ford Motor Company named "Edsel B. Ford II"
Via John Aravosis. Also, something about being cowed by Donald Wildmon into pulling ads from gay periodicals. http://americablog.blogspot.com/2005/12/ford-motor-company-embraces-homophobia.htmlPosted by irons at 05:37 PM
