Of course you are right. I didn't make clear my frame of reference.
I was thinking about real world instructions, not just everyday
speech.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Remove pizza from wrapper.
Place directly on center oven rack.
While cheese is not golden brown, cook. :)

Lather
Rinse
Repeat

I still contend it is more natural to analyze a sequence of
instructions in order. To do so otherwise is prone to error
and material for comedy writers.

Shake well before opening.
