[FWP] Drowning Newbies, etc

Aaaa, yet another meta... but... I really felt I should say this.
Not trying to provoke anyone, but if you are very new to Perl,
maybe this is not the list for you. Yes, a list doesn't always
end up conforming to the stated intentions, and yes, this one
has not yet converged on a personality, but I think everyone
would agree that "Fun With Perl" implies a certain level of
familiarity... Well, since I have started I might as well
add that I think that benchmarking and discussing boring
correct ways to code almost always isn't Fun. It's too
much like work. Baroque, drunk at the wheel, possibly
inefficient, possibly wrong code is almost always fun
though...
