Thank god!  Now I don't feel so bad...  I was wondering why my E3000 was
displaying 'Out of Memory!' when I have 256MB and 256MB of swap  - watched
both go into zero available land each time I ran that blasted thing.

Which wasn't too often...   =)

(I was thinking it was some weird pointer,
but does perl even have pointers?)
