I certainly have dreams of doing something like that but I have quite a ways to go befor I'm ready to start tackling such a project (both with gaining familiarity with POV Ray and practice with Perl). I would certainly be more interested in trying to setup renderer neutral language and then support the particular progys through modulse (kindof like DBI?).
