How about replacing 

	http://www.foo.bar/

with

	<a href="http://www.foo.bar/">Title</a>

where the link text ("Title" in the above) is determined by doing a
http get of the web page.

2.

Submit the selected text to AltaVista or Google search;
display the results in a new buffer/window.  (BBedit can do
that, right?)
