[FWP] A japh attempt

Comments solicited on this, my first "serious" JAPH attempt. (1) Any way to 
make it "better"? (Please define "better" as you offer your suggestion!) (2) Is 
it "original"?

This JAPH grew out of my fixation on map() once I learned how to use it. 
Suddenly, *everything* looked like an application for map()!
