Obviously the colors should be left as they are (red, yellow, green),
for this reason:  when you drive around with your 3-d specs on (as
most of us law-abiding citizens do), you see "stop" with your left eye,
"go" with your right eye, and "caution" with both eyes.  What could
possibly make more sense?

(Btw, isn't this crossing over more into the Advocacy domain?)
