Acknowledged, but I like having the option of double clicking the droplet
to run it or double clicking the script to have the code open in Alpha so I
can edit it.

Too bad droplets don't work like aliases do. If you move the target of an
alias the alias is not immediately modified, but when you double click the
alias it somehow manages to find the target and then updates itself with
the path to the target's new location. I sometimes create an alias which
points to the droplet which points to the script file.

For some reason aliases to MacPerl droplets don't work when placed in the
"Apple Menu Items Folder" while aliases to other types of files do (I'm
still using System 7.5.5). The droplet itself must be put in the "Apple
Menu Items Folder".

Good point! I responded to it on the MacPerl-Forum because that's where the
original question was posted. Perhaps this should be the subject of its own
thread.
