Well, but the idea is that the page linked to at cpan.perl.com has a link
to the distribution, so if you go there, you can get what you need. Less
for us to worry about putting into the MMP database.

Might be something to take up with modules@perl.org. No one there ever
responded to my last query about ports, though. If you do send it there,
copy this list. (I will resend that to this list.)

Though I think that if they don't want to act on it, perhaps just using
"bin" would be OK. Not entirely accurate, but oh well. :)

When I saw the cc of your message to that list you sent me, I asked
majordomo@perl.org for a list of lists it knew about after checking
the web site and finding nothing there. There was no "modules",
although there was a "module-authors". Is "modules" a private list or
just an alias?

I guess that would work. What I really want is to be able to put a
copy of the port in my CPAN directory and have it installable from
MacPerl by using the full CPAN path.

Private, for people who decide CPAN policies. Orwant, Graham Barr, Jarkko,
Andreas. Probably a few more people.

Right. Using the format for binary uploads would do that right now (though
"full CPAN path" is really relative, from $CPAN/authors, as in
"CNANDOR/XYZ-1.23.tar.gz"). But you probably knew that. :)

OK, I made the changes to MMP. I have yet to change the text at the top of
the pages. I will make it all more clear, I think. :) But now is the
time to let me know if something is good or bad.

Hopefully cpan.perl.com will add the link to CPAN Testers soon, and then
the distribution name link will give the user basically everything he needs
about the main distribution: docs, test reports, and the distribution
itself.

Looks pretty good. You're missing a 9 in the DProf port listing
(either that, or you ported the Roman Empire version :-))
