I doubt it.  That is usually a warning you get with -w, not something
related to strict.  And it is not a failure, just a warning.

Anyway, there is a newer version in the cpan-mac distribution that adds
some other stuff.  I don't recall if the -w problems in it have been fixed.
And I don't think I added a $VERSION (though I have been adding $VERSIONs
to most Mac:: modules that I've been updating).
