pod it describes "get_data" which generate the exact same apple event
as "get." So is get_data an alias to "get" or is it a duplicate
implementation of get
within the Filemaker Glue? (Which could be different in some other
application?)

Sigh, I had tried that, and was trying anything that I though might make
