Hi everybody, I have been using MacPerl for 1+ year, and I find all the time more and more things to use it for. However, I've never been able to figure out how to *actually* build a module with a C part. I've read primers, books (MacPerl, advanced programming with Perl, ...), all the available on-line doc... Well, I have bought CodeWarrior Pro, so I should be able to make it. The only thing is that the underlying goal of all the litterature seems to be to teach you how to build... makefiles rather than modules ! You need dmake, but to make dmake, you have to edit the makefile for CodeWarrior MPW. dmake is used... to make some parts of the modules, that come with a perl makefile, ... Well. Fun if you have time enough, but unfortunately I have to be productive, and just get the job done. Therefore, I need help. Just how can I take a library written in C (a library I have written), write the "glue" files (.XS or whatever, a .PM file as well obviously), and shazam, have the module ready to use ??? Well, I hope at least someone will *not* tell me that's impossible ! It's not really a matter of life and death ;-), but hey, this C crap took 1 month to put together... Thanks sooo much (in advance) ! - F.Letellier ---------------------- Fran=E7ois LETELLIER - ARKEM flet@arkem.com (work) flet@freesurf.fr (perso) =3D=3D=3D=3D Want to unsubscribe from this list? =3D=3D=3D=3D Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-modules-request@m= acperl.org
