Well, the MacPerl porting to 5.005 is being worked on, albeit slowly. I personally wouldn't advance further without word from Matthias, as I wouldn't want to see wasted effort. He is working on GUSI II (the foundation for the sockets in MacPerl) these days, from what I can tell. Note that awhile ago he asked if there was any rush for 5.005, or if we should just wait and do it slowly and get threading working, rather than do a 5.005 without threading. The consensus seemed to be the slower approach. Heck, I still use 5.004_04 on all my machines at work, so I didn't see need for a rush. It would, of course, be useful for Matthias to give us a real update, if he finds the time, and he if he is actually on the list. :) -- Chris Nandor mailto:pudge@pobox.com http://pudge.net/ %PGPKey = ('B76E72AD', [1024, '0824090B CE73CA10 1FF77F13 8180B6B6']) ==== Want to unsubscribe from this list? ==== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-porters-request@macperl.org
