(If this is off topic for this group, please gently tell me :-) I'm trying to use a perl script on a linux box to redirect a form submission from the linux box to a Mac. What I find is that the form variables are missing from the redirection. I've just spent a couple of hours cruising the web (including the RFC for HTTP 1.1) and can find no statement as to what should happen with form variables. As best I can tell, the client has the sole responsibility for what to do upon receiving the redirect message from the initial server. Relevant facts: linux http server: Apache browser: Netscape 4.01 for linux Mac http server: WebSTAR 1.2 Mac cgi: Netlink 4D/4th Dimension 3.5 THANKS! Relevance to the group? There is perl, and there is a Mac, and I use and love MacPerl, and Vicky just complained that there was no traffic on this group :-) Also, if my reading of the RFC is correct, then this will affect MacPerl cgi scripts just like any others. -David Steffen- David Steffen, Ph.D. President, Biomedical Computing, Inc. <http://www.biomedcomp.com/> Phone: (713) 610-9770 FAX: (713) 610-9769 E-mail: steffen@biomedcomp.com ==== Want to unsubscribe from this list? ==== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-webcgi-request@macperl.org
