You could use other values if you like. The main trick here is to Connect via: AppleTalk. If you're not connected to the 'Net, and you don't have an ethernet connection active on your computer, MacOS defaults to AppleTalk on the Printer Port in the AppleTalk control panel. So if you set up TCP/IP to connect via AppleTalk, then TCP/IP will correctly load when you try to launch internet applications, like your web server and web browser.
