If you'll allow me a suggestion... your code would be much easier to read
(& maintain) if the HTML part is kept in a template file.  There are fancy
things like XML and EmbPerl, or you can just read the template into a
string and then substitute values for arbitrary embedded markers, eg.
'$salary' or some such.  Then you can update your script and template
separately, make better use of HTML-editor features, etc.
