Using Webstar 4.1, Mac OS 8.6 on a G3 and the MacPerl .acgi's that I'm working on I am encountering a very bad problem. For reasons unknown to me a cgi will work fine for quite a while, then will suddenly freeze up it seems. It won't time out after 5 minutes of inactivity. It cannot be manually quit, and even trying to force quit it from the keyboard doesn't do the trick. Maybe there's a clue there... when trying to force quit the .acgi that is frozen the "Do you want to quit this app" dialog box lists Webstar as the app, not the .acgi application. It seems as if the system info that holds app names and bits knows what else has gotten confused somehow, as looking at the memory usage for all open apps showed the .acgi in question with a different name... tmp00000. This file is located in an invisible temporary folder on the desktop. Does this sound like a possible problem with MacPerl? With Webstar? With my system file? Or is it possibly something in my cgi program code? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated by me and the folks trying to use my server :-) Thanks, Hugh ==== Want to unsubscribe from this list? ==== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-webcgi-request@macperl.org
