Karl, Been a while since I played around with Frontier. Version 6.1 now...yeah..been a while. Back when I played with it (I have the O'Reilly book which I never really use now, but it's based ~ version 4 I think), they had developed a 'glue' for perl/frontier. From what I understand, you could use the Frontier management, but script in Perl... Anyone more familiar with that glue and/or know if it still exists? Looked around a little at userland etc. but didn't turn up much. Other than that, you can use perl along with your own templates...but you're probably already considered that. Cheers, Jason >Hi there, >Does anyone have any perl resources that help with the task of web publishing? >I'm thinking of functionality similar to frontier but more perl like. >I'm in the process of learning perl and think that to try and learn >usertalk (frontiers language) would not be as useful to me as doing >this in perl. >The functionality I'm thinking of is template based publishing and >also online like enableing users to contribute to pages, and >messageboards. >This is being done on a shoestring to create a macintosh community >site around some specific apps. >thanks, >karl > > -==Karl Long==- > -== mailto:klong@viant.com?subject=the%20money%20IOU ==- > -== http://www.viant.com ==- > -= aol im: mrukfunky =- >- -=42 is the answer, the only problem is figuring out the question=- > >==== Want to unsubscribe from this list? >==== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-webcgi-request@macperl.org ==== Want to unsubscribe from this list? ==== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-webcgi-request@macperl.org
