THANKS>>> IT was not made in macperl as far as i know. it is a search scritp that i downloaded from web and is running fine on Unix. The script is from http://www.syvilnet.com/ and is called Meta tag search. I do not know how to "port to macperl to run as pws". Is that simple or is there a tutorial for that. I can and have installed many cgi scripts on unix platform and i can muck with perlcode just enough to alter an exsisting script, but i cannot write a script from scratch .(yet) SO HOPEFULLY this is "porting" not too difficult. I am just not familiar with MAC platform... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin Lang" <klang2@home.com> To: "Alvy" <alvy@wncmarket.com>; <macperl-webcgi@macperl.org> Sent: Wednesday, March 15, 2000 8:49 AM Subject: Re: [MacPerl-WebCGI] help with cgi & macPerl > Want to clarify something, is this search cgi written in macperl?, if > not, it will have to be ported to macperl to run on PWS. > > If it is a macperl cgi, open it in macperl and save as a "cgi script", > then put it in the cgi-bin and try it. > > Kevin!# > > > > > Alvy wrote: > > > > Hello, > > > > We have a web site that runs fine on the net, with a search cgi, we > > now need a portable version of the website to run on a ibook (mac > > os9). > > The web site runs file locally on the ibook until the search form cgi > > is used. > > I have read and scanned the post archive and found lots (too much ) > > information. > > This is what i have done so far. > > 1. made a folder on the harddrive called "webroot", within that folder > > are the website and a cgi-bin folder. > > 2.
