BTW you should also check that your paths are correct - if you're using
relative paths for the CGIs it may cause you problems like the ones you
described if the page calling the CGIs is in a folder deeper into the file
structure like this:
  ie.

<MY WEB FOLDER>
	|__________	<CGI FOLDER>
			|
		<ANOTHER FOLDER>
			|____________<HTML DOCS>

so use FULL pathnames-
http://somewhere.com/doodad.cgi
