There is a shareware utility called "Monitor" which will plot
a graph of things like memory and CPU usage. I find it useful in
situations like this... "MacPerl is still using 80% of the CPU!" or
whatever.

It's available at standard FTP sites. E-mail me if you can't find it
and I'll send it to you.
