It seems that some subscriber to the mailing list is redirecting his mail through netcs.{net, com}, a German site, and the mail daemon there in its Furor Teutonicus sends totally unhelpful bounces to the wrong recipient. I have of course complained to the postmaster, but it is now 9PM on a Friday night in Germany, so it might well be that this unpleasant situation will endure over the weekend. Since the "offending" subscriber did not subscribe directly to a NetCS address, I have no means of determining who causes the bounces. I'm appending NetCS domain info below. If anybody is in a position of approaching that site directly (or causing a short term power outage :-), they are welcome. I will try calling the contact on Monday, but unless they are totally asleep at the wheel, the problem should be fixed by then. netCS Informationstechnik GmbH (NETCS-DOM) Feuerbachstrasse 47-49 D-1000 Berlin 41 GERMANY Domain Name: NETCS.COM Administrative Contact, Technical Contact, Zone Contact: Schrimpe, Clemens (CS218) csch@NETCS.COM +49-30-856 999-0 (FAX) +49-30-855 52 18 Matthias ----- Matthias Neeracher <neeri@iis.ee.ethz.ch> http://err.ethz.ch/members/neeri.html "They were gasbag creatures.
