Actually, as long as you aren't using server push, MacPerl behaviour is
essentially indistinguishable from Unix Perl in this respect. As opposed to
AppleScript, MacPerl does FIFO queueing.

I fully agree that MacPerl performance is far less than ideal for a heavily
loaded site (as Greg Knauss would say, it just doesn't give you enough
high-tech penis-inches in the WWW locker room), but there are enough sites on
the information backwoods dirt road for which it does just fine.
