[MacPerl] size your site

Hi all.

Just added this script to my MacPerl page <http://www.sai.com.au/~adam/>.
I've left it in HTML for the benefit of those using Netscape to read their
mail.

<H3><A HREF="http://www.sai.com.au/~adam/adsize.sit.hqx">adsize</A> (10k)
<IMG SRC="http://www.sai.com.au/~adam/new.gif" ALT="NEW!"></H3>
This little number will take an entire web page hierarchy and provide you
with a report
for each web page (text file ending in ".htm" or ".html") detailing the
size in bytes of
the html page itself plus the size of each image file referenced by that
page. It also
checks to see if each image has been referenced by any other of the html
pages and gives a
"Best Case" figure which tells you the total size assuming that all images
that appear on
other pages have been transferred already.<P>

I wrote this to give myself an idea of how long each page would take to
download.

See ya.
