Thanks for the hints on the system() call in MacPerl.

I am interested in using a Perl 5 script with the following line

        system("sort badsummary > baddup;  uniq < baddup > badfinal");

which causes MacPerl 5.06 to choke.

I just stumbled across Toolserver on the BBEdit 3.5.2 CD-ROM.  Haven't the
foggiest idea what it does. However, Toolserver seems to imply that I also
have MPW.

I do not own MPW.

Is it possible to have the system call above with Toolserver.

If so, then do I need MPW.

Or is there another way to accomplish the system("sort) statement that will
run under MacPerl.
