I haven't had the time to revise it as I've hoped, so a more accurate title would be "MacPerl FAQ drafter", not "keeper". It's still on my "to do" list to update the FAQ, but I can't offer any time schedule. Is that not a good assumption? >From the traffic on both clpm and this list, it looks as if Perl5 & MacPerl5 are stable for normal cases. Personally, learning a new language (which Perl 5 is IMO) is a ways down on my list of things to learn, so I won't be adopting Perl 5 until I need it.
