[MacPerl] totally newbie

ok i confess i am totally new to this MacPerl CGI thing. i dont know if
this mailing list is for beginners and/or experts but i must ask some
newbie questions before i get started. if the questions do not pertain to
this forum please point me in the right direction.
here is my situation:
the web server i am running is webstar 1.0 and i see the CGI folder. what
i want to know is how can i make the browser read the cgi file. what needs
to be put in the file for it to "run" when the browser is pointed to it.
is there a "how to for dummies" or a beginners website that i can find
this information?? any help would be greatly appreciated.
