The culprit is definitely ObjectSupportLib. The easiest fix is simply to re-run the NetScape 2.0.2 installer, and do a custom install, installing only 'Object Support for Power Macintosh'. This should install the correct version (which has a release date of 1st January 1996) and the odd problems - can't switch between windows by clicking on them, can't use window menu, 'New Web Browser' creates two new windows, password authentication doesn't work, etc. - should go away. (That's probably also why an Atlas install seemed to fix things, as reported by Ethan - Atlas also installs ObjectSupportLib). MacPerl's installer seems to be smart enough not to overwrite newer software versions, so subsequent MacPerl installations probably won't mess things up again.
