Hi! Please help. I have set up a suite of CGI applications entirely in MacPerl. They are quite advanced and have taken up a great deal of my hours over the past months. Development has been on a succession of Macs, depending on what I had at the time: a PowerBook 165, an LC475 and a Power Macintosh 8100. The only problem I have had was when I switched to MacPerl 5.07 -- my CGI's kept freezing but this disappeared when I switched back to MacPerl 4.18 with the Feb 95 CGI glue. Now the suite is working and I have got my server delivered. The specs are: PowerMacintosh 7250/120, System 7.5.3 (clean installation, not update 2), Open Transport 1.1 and TCP/IP 1.1 Suddenly MacPerl is bombing. If I try to Open a script using the File>Open menu command, MacPerl quits with a Type 1 error. The same happens if I drag and drop CGI applications or droplets onto the MacPerl icon. The only way I can edit the latter two types of file is by editing their text resources in ResEdit. On the other hand, the programs work when I call them through Navigator and WebSTAR. This looks to me like a problem with the hardware/software on the server, not a problem with MacPerl -- but I am writing to this group in the hope that someone can help me shed some light on how to remedy the situation... There must be a MacPerl programmer somewhere who has used the same Apple Internet Server Solution as my own machine :-) Thanks for any help, Gauden
