[MacPerl] I wonder if any one has ported this....?

I was just wondering if any one has attepted to port John Scott's  
appointment book <http://www.bookstore.com/app3.cgi>(to see it in action) 
or <http://www.bookstore.com/appreadme.html>(to see the source etc.) to 
MacPerl? It seems quite useful and just what I wanted. Just asking as I 
am a complete novice when it comes to scripting and wanted to avoid a 
steep learning curve!
