[MacPerl] MacPerl Email solution?

Hi all,

1. What does it take to set up an E-mail auto responder? This is a an script
that automatically sends email to people who request it (presumeably by
filling out a form since most browsers don't support the enviroment variable
which is contains the users email address).

2. Does anyone know of simple script that emails someone when it is called
by a URL? For instance; if I send the script this URL:

http://www.landrush.com/cgi-bin/email.acgi?address=rstober@landrush.com&user
name=kjolt&password=54gt6ff92&name=\"Kevin%20Jolt\"

and the script sends rstober@landrush.com email with the three vital pieces
of info I need to add the new user to our system.

Does anyone know of a good perl script that can do this?
