[MacPerl] A new user wants to know...

Hello,

My name is Jerry LeVan. I have just started using MacPerl v 5.???. the application.
My previous experience with Perl has been through Unix ( A/UX and Linux).

Regrettably I have volunteered to teach a seminar in Perl :) starting in January.
We are running Perl 5.02 on our linux systems at school and I hope to be able
to test non unix specific code at home on my mac. I also want to investigate
Mac specific coding using MacPerl.

I have some general queries...
        1) Is there a clear explaination of the the routines in the
           MacPerl packager? The file "MacPerl.Specifics" claims to be
           superceded by macperl.html (which I can't find).

        2) Is there an archive that has LOTS of MacPerl specific examples? 
             I would be especially interested in a simple client/server pair
             using TCP. A tutorial on howto CGI with MacHTTP would also be
             nice.

I have been sorta kinda pleased so far with MacPerl. My simple demos (eight queens,
OO-datastuctures demos, etc all run without a hitch! I have had some crashes 
under mysterious circumstances...

I am running on a 7600 with 48MB of ram. System 7.5.5 and OT 1.1.1.

There will surely be many more questions :)
