I've got a nice CGI script that implements a general-purpose multiple-choice quiz engine and it's up and running on a server at a local college, but he would really like to trap the name and server of the person connecting up. I've seen some perl CGI libraries do this, but I can't remember where. (I'm just using a few lines adapted from cgi.pl to do the work). Does anyone know how I can retrieve this? It couldn't just be a $ENV{'something'}, could it? By the way, if you want to use "netquiz.pl" on a somewhere-between-alpha-and-beta basis, drop me a line and I'll send you the source. Currently it requires a quiz file which has a kinda ugly syntax. I've written a quiz file generator in 4th Dimension, and I'm planning to do as another CGI script. If you just want to see how it looks at it, check out an example on: http://esf.uvm.edu/labsafety/biosafety/bbp/bbpquiz/startquiz.html ** Russell Aminzade - Computing As If People Matter - 802-351-4357 aminzade@sover.net**
