I quote from the intro.htm at this site. The first line of text says.

"CGI is a UNIX programming language used on the web."

No, No, No. CGI is a standard for interface - CGI is not a programming
language.
Programs which use CGI can be written in any language (C, Basic, Fortran, etc).
Programs which use CGI can run under MacOS, Windows, VMS as well as Unix.

Please send me $20 to pay for the cost of my time for reading this nonsense.

Bob

P.S. If "CGI is a UNIX programming language used on the web" then why was this
distributed through the MacPerl mailing list? MacPerl as it's name implies runs
on Macs (not Unix). This question is aimed at the poster of the message,
not the
custodian of the mailing list.
