If you want to use Perl to create and send mail... you can avoid ALL the network overhead and debugging (unless you enjoy it) by using AIMS / EIMS and DC&R Util 5. DC&R Util 5 has a drop folder that lets you create TEXT files, which DC&R Util 5 picks up, formats, and hands off to EIMS/AIMS -- multiple recipients, your headers, or default headers. Just a thought. DC&R Util 5 is commercial software, but for $99 you save lots of time and therefore money :-) The programming/debugging time saved is worth it. Beta 4 can be downloaded to demo the software, but the Drop folder mentioned above is not enabled in the demo (only the full-paid version). Beta 5 WILL feature an enabled Drop folder in the demo, so look for it in the next two weeks (or send mail and we'll add you to the announcement list). Beta 5 will also feature a more powerful set of features around the Drop folder. Best regards, David M.
