New versions of some of the BBEdit extensions I wrote that facilitate the use of BBEdit and BBEdit Lite with MacPerl are available. This is release 5.2 of the extensions. The BBEdit extensions included are: 1. Run MacPerl (version 1.1.4) - updated 2. Check Perl Syntax (version 1.1.4) - updated 3. Run MacPerl Front (version 1.0.4) 4. Run File with MacPerl (version 1.1.4) - updated 5. Edit MacPerl Script (version 1.0.2) 6. Shuck (version 1.0) 7. Perl Filters (version 1.1.2) - updated 8. Perl Palette (version 3.0d2 by Lindsay Davies) Most of the changes involve the error browser. Some of these changes are: 1. Error browser entries will now appear when the file containing an error is not the file containing the script that was run (e.g., a module used by the script). 2. Error browser entries should now contain all messages associated with the error. 3. The option to use the error browser is now properly disabled in the preferences dialog when using the extension with BBEdit Lite (the error browser is not available in BBEdit Lite). 4. Even if the file containing the script is a new window an error browser entry will appear if the error is contained in a file on disk (e.g., a module used by the script).
