[MacPerl] Editor setup problem

I am totally new to Perl and want to learn in the MacPerl environment.
How do I configure MacPerl to get QUED/M as my default editor, available in
MacPerl as a menu, so that it does not crash MacPerl when I try open a new
file?

Any help on this problem would be greatly appreciated.
