Re: [MacPerl] date functions

David Beck <dfbeck@sandia.gov> writes:
}I have several Perl scripts written for a unix platform that makes calls to

}time(), etc.)?

It's always a good idea, before asking here, to go to the nearest CPAN archive and look around. In this case, there are several candidates:

cpan> d /Date/
Going to read /usr/local/home/schinder/.cpan/sources/01mailrc.gz
Going to read /usr/local/home/schinder/.cpan/sources/02packag.gz

  There's a new CPAN.pm version (v1.3101) available!
  You might want to try
    install CPAN
    reload cpan
without quitting the current session. It should be a seamless upgrade
  while we are running...

Going to read /usr/local/home/schinder/.cpan/sources/03mlist.gz
Distribution GBARR/TimeDate-1.07.tar.gz
Distribution MORTY/DateConvert-0.14.tgz
Distribution SBECK/DateManip-5.10.tar.gz
Distribution STBEY/DateCalc-3.2.tar.gz
Distribution TOMC/modules/Date-GetDate-2.00.tar.gz

I'll leave it to you to read about each and decide which you want to use.

(I know, I know, it isn't exactly fair to use CPAN.pm, but I didn't have time to hunt around at http://www.perl.com/CPAN/.)
