sure you do a *text* transfer, or you'll wind up with Unix text files on
your local disk.

You will also need Convert::BinHex for this to work:

You will also need to know how to install a .tar.gz with a pure Perl module
inside, because that's how Convert::BinHex comes.  I think one of the draft
chapters of Chris Nandor and Vicky Brown's book tells you what to do.
