I was beta-testing netpresenz (then named FTPd) with macperl cgis on a
SE/30. It didn't fly, but worked (allmost) satisfactory. Most of this was
MacPerl418 with cgi-lib.pl, but I upgraded to 5.0.x and CGI.pm without
problems...My guess (not really educated) is that the file system has
something to do with your machines slowness, so you might try trimming your
lib folder (also mac httpd 2 was a bit easier and faster to deal with, but
this was during the beta test...)
