Hello folks, You might want to check this page http://arpp.carleton.ca/mac/question/network.html#Question-network-nonetwork for detailed instructions as to how to set up MacTCP to run non-networked - very helpful info. I was also able to download and configure MacDNS so that I can run a one machine intranet on my powerbook, typing in http://joshua.aacg.intranet rather than IP numbers. You could shorten the name if you wanted - what ever works in your case.
