I make a TCP/IP configuration with a fixed IP address, and use the URL http://<my-fixed-IP-address>/<my-macperl-script.cgi> in the browser. I delete all the DNS entries in this configuration, or Quid Pro Quo will take forever (minutes) to start up. This is all for running a "one-machine" network, BTW. Normal TCP/IP networking isn't available. This works great for CGI testing, and all I have to do is switch TCP/IP configurations to go back to normal network use. No reboot necessary. This may be dumb, but it works for me. Hope it helps. ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
