I have played a little with Mac Tk v. 8, and although the buttons and windows look Macish, you can tell that it comes from the Unix/Windows world: Windows don't center properly, dialog windows display ugly Unix/Windows icons, there is no way to make the Wish window disappear, and adding widgets to windows in a snake-like fashion does not appeal to me. I think that Facespan is a better alternative to Tk as an interface designer for MacPerl on the Mac. Facespan has a drag and drop IDE and is a 100% Mac application. You can currently exchange data between an application designed with it and MacPerl using the Do Script command. I would be willing to help designing a MacPerl module to increase the level of interaction between FaceSpan and MacPerl if some of you were interested in such a project. Philippe de Rochambeau P.S. Matthias, Could you please provide us with detailled examples of how to use MacPerl's Do Script and Send Data commands? ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
