I have also never seen such a thing. But I know about a 
SQL database that is working on Mac, NT, UNIX, and also Rhapsody:
Primebase (see www.snap.de, demo also in the Metrowerks CDs)
It has a ODBC Interface, and there is a DBI ODBC Driver at CPAN.
But I don't know if someone has ever put the DBI::OBBC 
to work on a Mac.
