I don't think the math chip is the problem, as the Duo230 should come with
an FPU in the 030, I think (the 210, I believe, came with no FPU).  I also
think that missing FPU errors are generally not of the form "Unimplemented
Trap" (instead, you get bad-fline instructions and such, I believe).
Unimplemented Trap errors generally occur when a particular 'trap'
(similar to operating system function) is not provided by the OS that
you're using.

Are all of the macs using 7.1 - even the Quadra 650?
